On 13. and 14. November 2018 5th conference on Transport and Research in the Danube region was held in City Hotel Ljubljana. The conference was dedicated to batteries, as one of the most versatile energy storage technology, which are the key enablers for the decarbonisation of the transport. In a set of short presentations and a moderated roundtable the audience got an insight into the future of batteries research, more precisely: what are the visions, main expectations and potential bottlenecks.
