MAHEPA workshop on safety and HMI considerations in hybrid-electric aviation postponed due to COVID-19

We kindly invite you to a MAHEPA workshop on safety, reliability and HMI considerations in hybrid-electric aviation, which will be organised by MAHEPA consortium, when state of COVID-19 will be under control.

The workshop will be devoted to two main topics, safety in hybrid-electric aircraft and HMI: novel cockpit environment.

The first topic will address problems in safety, reliability and efficiency of hybrid-electric aircraft. The discussion will focus on existing standards, as well as on the integration of new safety concepts.

The second topic will be driven by the test pilots` experience and by the aircraft manufacturers’ perspective of the needs of future aircraft in terms of Human Machine Interface (HMI). The discussion will focus on modern challenges in cockpit design, including key information shown to the pilot and the level of automation required for the next generation of future greener aircraft.

The workshop will feature speakers from MAHEPA consortium partners, as well as policy makers representatives, such as EASA and the European Commission.
